Combining artistic movements with music in my films have always been a passions and interest to me. We usually interpret dance linked with music so I wanted to to push the boundaries and experiment by replacing music with poetry. I also find the topic of women representation to be fascinating and need to be celebrated. For I am the only man in the family that was raised by strong women. Who else would be a perfect fit to describe women in poetry than the great Maya Angelou. She doesn’t get specific or generalise in her poem about womanhood for Maya it's about identifying the complexity and beauty of individuality. We should embrace women’s exoticness rather than mold them into something they are not. I dedicate my film to all women that I’ve seen over the years and that I have grown to admire and learned so much from.
